Counterfeit Medications that are Available Globally Internationally
Estimates from the W.H.O. ( the World Wide Health Organizations) estimates that up to 50 % of the drugs taken in 3rd world and developing countries are believed not to be authentic brand name certified medications and indeed may be
counterfeit. In an article published in the authoritative C.M.A.J ( The Canadian Medical Association Journal) of the Canadian Medical Association it was found that Heroin is no longer the opiate of choice among many substance abusers. Indeed prescription medication narcotics such as morphine and oxycontin were rapidly taking over from the precious ilict drug heroin plus its substitutes. Canadian researchers had studied street drug users in seven cities across the country in 2005. The results indicated and found that in 2006 heroin had remained the number one illicit opiate narcotic only in Vancouver and Montreal Canada. In the five other cities - Toronto , Ottawa , Edmonton and Calgary , Quebec City and Moose Jaw most often getting a high meant getting a prescription for narcotics such as Morphine , Oxycontin , Talwin compound or Percocet depending on the local rules and favorites.
